Welcome!

I'm Monique — a small batch ceramic artist living in Maine. I began working on the potters wheel in late 2018 and have been “at it” since.

I set up this shop as a way to share my work with friends and family, as well as others interested in handmade ceramics.

Each piece is made with great care, and I would be honored if you welcomed my work into your home.

Caring for your pots

Each piece was fired (heated) to over 2,300 degrees, so it can certainly handle heat! Take care to not cause “thermal shock” by making your pot go from cold to hot too quickly. Pouring boiling water into a mug that is cold to the touch could cause cracking. I warm up my mug each morning with warm tap water or spare water from the kettle before adding my coffee. Plus, warming it up keeps my coffee warmer, longer!

All pots are dishwasher and microwave safe.

Teaching — Local class at Handful Studios

I’m currently teaching Monday night wheel-throwing at Handful Studios in Portland, ME. Check out their website for all available offerings: handbuilding, wheel-throwing, intro classes and more.
